Hello From TCCA!
PLEASE CLICK on the BANNER at the TOP OF THIS PAGE. THANK YOU!
Greetings!
I have a large announcement to make for TCCA clients. We will not be reopening spring 2026 but are closing our business to in-person lessons. Since I retired from 40 years in higher education the end of June, I have gone back and forth trying to decide what I wanted to do with the remainder of time left to me. Though most of you know me only as a dog trainer my life has actually been filled with numerous interests and small businesses. TCCA has been the very best. Truly, it has been a deep privilege to meet so many people who want to train their dogs kindly. They have lucky dogs. I feel extremely blessed to have worked with you and with my TCCA training colleagues. We always strived to share the best positive techniques here.
TCCA is a chapter in my life that I will always look back on with a smile – even if I live to be 100. My next goal is to buy a welder and create … to learn to draw … to learn how to use the internet for online dog consulting … to speak Spanish…work for democracy … volunteer in my community … and especially to write. I have a sequel to The Patchen (my last fantasy book) in me and it needs time to come out! I have dog books and science fiction inside that need to see the light in someone’s eyes as they read it. Time is short. I have no idea what these next years of life will bring. They may not be ‘better’ but they will be different. As the wonderful African proverb says: When death finds you, may it find you alive.
TCCA has been continuously intellectually and emotionally engrossing. Thank you for being a part of that.
Hugs to the pups!

And for reactive dogs and challenges with children+babies/dogs
We opened TCCA to fulfill a long-held dream of helping people and dogs forge wonderful, mutually enriching connections. With the right training techniques, dogs are amazing learners! No matter how "naughty" or "nice", your beloved pet can enjoy good manners, games to play, and tricks to perform! It’s a learning buffet at TCCA. Our positive reinforcement training methods help dogs learn quickly while building trust and respect for you.
We hope you try several different types of classes and experiment with a variety of dog sports - and find your own sweet spots as a team along the way.
Happy Training,
Patricia and Terry
