6 one-hour class sessions Prerequisites: Novice 1 (or equivalent skills) Go to list of all courses to learn more about prerequisite class(es)
Second Level of Novice training in agility. You will learn while running sequences and eventually full courses. Novice 2 will include the full range of agility obstacles appropriate to the class: teeter, weaves, dog walk, A-Frame, tunnels with different curves, etc. Building distance cues will start right here. The humans will learn various handling techniques for directing their dogs around a course while the dogs will learn what these handling cues mean. Get ready to try out all the different types of jumps and tunnel curves and obstacles. Have fun while your dog gains confidence and you grow as a team truly enjoying a sport together. (To register for Novice 2, your dog needs to be able to run the length of a low teeter confidently.)
This class is best suited for: Teams who have taken Novice 1, who have built value for jumps and practiced with the basic (but lower) equipment. If you have conquered the teeter at its lowest level and are ready for more teeter height, you are ready for Novice 2.
